Five females and three male students from Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) are set to compete in the Mister and Miss ESHS pageant today, January 21.

The pageant – previously known as Mister and Miss Fifth Form – will see the first batch of Grade 12 students competing for the respective crowns at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall in Road Town.

The female contestants are Kyrah Maduro, Mya Walwyn, Jerely Jean Jacque, Kayla Grant, and Shiann George.
The males vying for the crown are Mariq Romney, Joshua Langford, and Calden James.

The young crown-hopefuls will be judged based on their presentations in various segments – Introduction Speech, Talent, Evening Wear, and Interview.

This year’s pageant will also feature an additional segment called ‘Spirit In Me’.

“It is our endeavour for the students to realize that participation in this showcase exposes them to more than pageantry. It should also assist in the development of their pubic speaking and presentation skills, self-confidence, and leadership abilities,” said the event organisers.
