Fahie calls for nat’l prayer, fasting to tackle BVI’s pressing issues

Premier Andrew Fahie has called on residents of the Virgin Islands to observe three days of fasting and national prayer across the territory to combat some of the pressing issues the territory is facing.

The period of fasting and national prayers, the Premier said, started yesterday and is expected to conclude tomorrow.

Speaking at a press conference last Friday, Fahie said over the life span of the Virgin Islands, God and prayers have been at the forefront for most people to weather storms of any kind.

“I want to thank all our people who continue to pray without ceasing, for God’s will alone be done for the present and future generations of the Virgin Islands. We thank our foreparents for their prayers, hard work and dedication which brought these Virgin Islands to be one of the most beautiful places in the world despite the worldwide challenges,” Fahie said.

The Premier said with the upcoming hurricane season upon the territory, as well as the ongoing challenges of the Commission of Inquiry, among other things, the people of the territory must pray to God without ceasing “for his will alone will be done for these Virgin Islands.

“During the heightened phase of the pandemic, your government join our prayer warriors in calling for national prayer and fast at different times. Now we do the same one more time as from Sunday, April 10, 2022, to Tuesday, April 12, 2022,” Fahie announced.

“Together let us petition God for our country through a National three-day Prayer and Fast. In unity there is strength and with God everything is possible. Remember we are in this together and together we will rise stronger and better than ever before,” the Premier continued.

Every day Joseph went to the wailing wall in Jerusalem. “please God, he prays” Let me win the lottery! EVERY DAY, FOR 50 YEARS!. “Please, please oh plentiful God, Let me win the lottery!!”

Eventually Joseph is on his deathbed, his family wheels him out to the wailing wall and he starts – “Oh God, I’ve been a good God fearing person, why oh why did you forsake me and never let me win the lottery!!” he wails..

A Booming voice comes down from Heaven:

“Joseph, you have to buy an actual ticket!”

Pray as much as you want Fahie – God helps those that help themselves.

If the BVI reserve is this man’s bank account, by ALL MEANS let’s go there! As far as I can see its ONLY he and the minister in the woods needs to fasting! What happened to the weight loss program the two (2) of them was to be on and donate the funds to charity. That was the talk on first being in office. But then, them like to talk!

Before you pray for good leadership, you prayed that someone be removed from office.

Some of us need to say the Lord’s prayer and listen to the words.
