‘Freak accident’ causes power outage in section of Sea Cows Bay

Large tree damages utility pole in Sea Cows Bay

What is being described as a freak accident has resulted in a power outage in sections of the Sea Cow’s Bay community of Tortola Thursday morning, November 5.

A relatively large tree in the area collapsed sometime around 6 am, damaging a nearby utility pole and a parked vehicle.

Personnel from the BVI Electricity Corporation have responded at the scene.

While there are no known reports of injury, the incident is said to be bizarre since there were no gusts of wind to cause the tree to fall.

We weaken the trees (especially the flamboyant tree) by eating them from the inside. No magic or high science here
