Governor Augustus Jaspert will today embark on another trip out of the territory to have more discussions with the United Kingdom (UK) government.

Governor Jaspert had departed for the UK exactly a month ago on similar business.

“Today I travel to London for one week where I will be discussing plans for our short and longer-term recovery with the UK government and partners,” the governor said this morning.

He stated that Premier Dr D Orlando Smith is also scheduled to travel to London in the coming days.

“We will be meeting with our UK colleagues and working very hard to present the priorities and the next steps that need to be undertaken to progress our recovery plan as we work to build back stronger.”

Rosalie Adams will become Acting Governor effective today.
