Governor deports fake visa holder

Baez

Dominican Republic national Richardson Gonzales Baez who was convicted for possession of a forged visa has been placed on early release and a deportation order issued for him.

Governor Augustus Jaspert made the order on December 5. He said the Spanish-speaking offender should be placed aboard the “first available ship or aircraft about to leave the territory”.

“I, Augustus J. U. Jaspert, Governor of the territory of the Virgin Islands, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 40(1) (b) and (c) of the Immigration and Passport Ordinance (Cap. 130) do hereby order the said Richardson Gonzalez Baez to leave the territory of the Virgin Islands on or before the expiration of seven days from the date on which a copy of this Order is served on him by an Immigration officer or a police officer, and thereafter to remain out of the territory,” the deportation order said.

Baez’s conviction saw Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste-DaBreo slapping him with a combined prison sentence of 26 months back in April 2019.

He was sentenced to 12 months for providing false information to a person employed in the Public Service, eight months for uttering a false document and six months for possession of a false document.

Baez was expected to spend to serve no more than 12 months in prison since the magistrate ordered that his sentences run concurrently.

There hundreds more from across the world here.

And, there are many more who are always over looked due to their skin color also. They live excluded from the majority population in segregated communities.

They shop at one supermarket only, at Pasea because it is not locally owned. They do not support local businesses unless better can’t be done.

They appear not to get in contact with the law, immigration or other. That is because the law never goes after them.

And when they do have an infraction with them, they are treated differently and are never prosecuted, deported, are simply made to make correction and sent home.

Thise are the facts. It is our own that we prosecute and persecute at their behest. Why is it we never, ever see an english or american being deported for an immigration infraction, when it is known that they vilate them all the time? Who are they think they fooling with this onesided border patrol practice?
