Reports reaching BVI News Online are that a masked gunman robbed Dawson’s Superette in Lower Estate.

He allegedly entered the establishment some time after 6 o’ clock with a gun, and demanded money from the female cashier.

When an undisclosed amount of cash was handed over to him, the gunman left the establishment and escaped in the area.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a media release, appealed for information.

“The Criminal Investigations Department is hoping that persons will come forward with information to help in identifying the armed suspect who entered Dawson’s Superette yesterday afternoon around 6pm and fled the premises with cash. Initial inquiries indicate that one masked, armed male entered the premises, demanded money and made off with a small amount of cash.”

“Persons with information can contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or the Criminal Investigations Department through the RVIPF three-digit access number 311,” the police further said.
