Global offshore law firm Harneys has donated $3,000 to local non-governmental organisation, the Family Support Network (FSN).

The funds were directed towards the FSN’s back-to-school drive to assist needy families in acquiring school supplies for students in their respective families.

FSN Director, Sasha Stoutt, said the funds will “go a long way” in fulfilling their back-to-school mission.

“We say thank you so much to Harneys I know that the families that we support at FSN will greatly appreciate it as well,” she said.

Meanwhile, Managing Director of Harneys, Colin Riegels, said his firm made the donation in recognition of the FSN’s service to the local community, particularly after the September 2017 hurricanes.

He said: “One of the values we at Harneys hold is the importance of education to the future of individuals and the territory. We are pleased to make this small contribution to helping families and children start the new school year with the supplies they need to be successful.”

A media release from Harneys said the company’s corporate social responsibility focuses on four primary areas – helping the most vulnerable in local communities, preserving local environment, promoting arts and culture, and investing in young people.
