HireBVI targets 50 needy families for this year’s back-to-school drive

With the territory medically and economically reeling from the ongoing health pandemic, local human resources company HireBVI will primarily focus on needy families for its annual back-to-school distribution drive.

Unlike its previous back-to-school drives, HireBVI said it has decided to donate school supplies to 50 BVI families in need.

It said the school supplies will be sent to the Family Support Network (FSN) who will then handle the logistics of the families that will receive a donation.

“Considering the impact that COVID-19 has had on the territory thus far, we decided to assist affected families by providing support. Therefore, we have partnered once more with FSN who will be responsible for identifying those affected families. It is imperative to note that only registered and qualified families will receive school supplies. We would also like to express gratitude to our sponsors, namely Aeropost, ACE by HireBVI, Island Services, Let’s Fuze VI, P3, Caribbean Cellars and Guardian Property Management & Sales for their kind contribution and support,” HireBVI’s Managing Director, Rekeema Turnbull stated.

The FSN, in the meantime, said it is pleased and grateful for the contribution that HireBVI is giving to assist low-income families locally.

Families in need are encouraged to register with FSN by August 27 by sending a WhatsApp message to 284-542-2085 or 284-541-4844 or email to [email protected] to verify their qualifications.
