HOA Speaker hospitalised!

Speaker of the House of Assembly Julian Willock is currently receiving treatment at the Dr D Orlando Smith hospital in Road Town for an unknown health-related issue.

This is according to Premier Andrew Fahie who made the announcement during the Twelveth Sitting of the Second Session of the Fourth House of Assembly on Monday.

He said: “Our prayers are with him. We have been made to understand that he is hospitalised and our prayers are with the speaker because we know in these times of sickness, we have to stay closer to God.”

“So, we know that he may be listening on his hospital bed and we pray that God’s healing power be with him,” the Premier added.

Deputy Speaker Neville Smith, also sent Willock well wishes for a speedy recovery.

Smith is presiding over the House during Willock’s absence.

“At this time, I would like to apologise for the Speaker who is not well today, and I was sat with the duties so I would try my best to do them well,” Smith stated.
