Inmates reportedly tamper with cameras at court

Surveillance cameras that were mounted inside the prisoner holding cell at the Magistrate’s Court in John’s Hole were reportedly tampered with.

Authorities believe one of the inmates brought to court from Her Majesty’s Prison interfered with the devices, BVI News understands.

Inmates who were to appear in court on Thursday were subsequently sent back to the Balsam Ghut-based penitentiary.

Their matters were adjourned to other available dates.
