The global financial broker with offices in the BVI, iFOREX has partnered with the BVI Olympic Committee (BVIOC) to act as sponsors of the territory’s Olympic team for the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer.

A media release from the BVIOC said it is believed this partnership marks the first time an investment firm has sponsored a National Olympic Committee.

“As a company licensed in the British Virgin Islands, we have first-hand awareness of the spirit and potential of this exceptional team and we are proud and excited to support the athletes in their remarkable efforts to bring home the territory’s first Olympic medal,” said iFOREX operators, Formula Investment House Ltd.

The financial services company now joins athletic brand PUMA as one of the BVIOC’s two official sponsors.

In the meantime, the Tokyo Olympics are scheduled to run from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, August 8.

The team of athletes confirmed to represent the territory at the Games are 400-metre hurdler Kyron MacMaster, local strongman Eldred Henry who will compete in the Men’s Shot Put event, and Chantel Malone who will be competing in the Women’s Long Jump.

Doesn’t matter. It’s a sign of not being interested.

Decency and respect are timeless. Talk to someone. Take your earphones out. It’s simple. It’s the same as looking at someone while he or she speaks to you.

        • Doesnt matter says:

Doesnt matter if you can turn them off. The person speaking to you has no way of telling that you have turned it off.

youth behaving like this and wondering why nobody takes them seriously are doomed in live.

  3. Wow... says:

These young people are making a mark for the BVI and have the support of two incredible sponsors…but all you can focus on is an earpiece – that is obviously off!

We should be celebrating this team and the task they have at hand, which is win a medal or 3 for the BVI! You guys have your priorities messed up.

As for the youth behaviour….@doesnt matter, clearly your generation didn’t have a moment that caused your elders to think “these young people are crazy!” Cause you were perfect.

Kyron, ignore the haters. Handle your business and those hurdles!!
