Man released on $2500 bail after prohibited weapon charge
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has released a 49-year-old man on $2,500 bail after he was allegedly found in possession of a prohibited weapon.
The accused has been identified as Anthony Chinnery of New Bush, who is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
Police said Chinnery was charged after officers executed a search warrant at his residence on February 24. He is scheduled to appear before the court on April 9.
The police did not specify what type of prohibited weapon they allegedly discovered.
The incident is among several outlined in the police arrest blotter for the period February 1 to 28, 2026, which details a range of charges across the territory.
Among the cases listed is that of 38-year-old Akeam Creque of Valley, Virgin Gorda, who was charged with wounding and being armed with an offensive weapon following an altercation on February 28. He was granted $10,000 bail and is set to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on April 20, 2026.

In a separate matter, a 16-year-old male has been charged with having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13, according to the RVIPF.
Police said the teen was arrested and charged in connection with an incident dated February 12, 2026. His identity has not been disclosed due to his age. He was granted bail in the amount of $15,000 and was scheduled to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on March 24, 2026.
