Why some people acting brand new like they don’t know what’s going on????

The BVI has become caught up in worldly things, from drugs, strip clubs, homosexuality, witchcraft, mocking the Bible throwing salacious parties referencing Bible characters, chanting rituals to ancestors…then asking what’s going on????

    • Doh says:

It the third pillar of our economy. The drugs, smuggling, and guns are now a part of our daily lives and it impacts us more every day. As the grip on our borders tightened, the individuals involved in these enterprises are becoming more bold and desperate as they stand to lose millions.

We, the public, are literally caught in their crossfire.

      But carry on.

You like a vulture, always first to the dead rotten meat.

You never fail to be first an every news publication to post your juvenilist blog of trying to instigate division among the local and Southern population.

What is sad is, 66 years ago, Island people were coming here and there was never a problem with then or now.

Therte was few to no white people back then. There was no hate, racism and evil snake like divisive narratives around either.

Today, the Island people have contributed significantly to the BVI and they have not brought racism or hatred with them.

Hence, your evil is seen and is being called out. Stop your shyte! You will not divide us no more than we already are. We live, eat, sleep, sex, make children and other. That will not change.

Not one time on any of her shows she’s actually talking about the drugs & guns that’s killing our community. Yet why would she batch the gun man them when their the ones protecting her

I am an American and love Virgin Gorda, so I want to emphasize that I know the British culture is very different on the issue of law abiding people having firearms. All I can say is that we in the US have learned that criminals don’t obey even the most strict gun laws.

I know that many people just don’t believe that private citizens should be able to own or carry firearms, but again, I’m talking about LAW ABIDING citizens. We have learned here that if you allow honorable citizens to be properly trained and arm themselves, society is safer. The BVI laws that make it almost impossible for an honest citizen to own a firearm only serve to ensure that incidents like this one will occur, because criminals won’t stop getting and using guns.

    • Tired argumen says:

Visitor to VG is espousing an old and tired argument that hand guns should be allowed in society. How would owning such a gun ensure that shootings don’t occur? How would owning a gun and then using it to kill someone keep you out of charges of murder, manslaughter etc. Sure, it might be justified in the end, but you’ll still have to defend yourself in court, and could lose. And, what happens if the gun is taken away from you and used against you? Or, if it is stolen and used in the commission of a crime, including murder? Or, if you lose your cool and shoot a relative or friend, or your ex-? Firearm related death rate in the UK is about 0.2 per 1,000, but in the US it’s 12.2 per 1,000 or 60 times more. Imagine a 60x increase on your paycheck…UK gun ownership is about 2.8 guns per 100 inhabitants in UK but 120 guns per 100 in the US. Do we really want to have a society like the US? What’s enviable about school shootings, armed riots against government, high incidence of gun violence, etc.?

Your arguments about me (or any law abiding citizen) “losing my cool” are stupid. I got a license to carry after going through a criminal background check and having been trained. As for your firearm related deaths in the US, those stats include suicide and I’m not going to give up my right (in the US) to own a firearm because of that, or anybody else who is not LAW ABIDING, engaging in bad behavior.

Your examples are for people who are NOT LAW ABIDING, so apparently you cannot read beyond a fourth grade level, but let me try this – just because some people drive drunk is no reason to outlaw automobiles. Guns in the hands of LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, like automobiles, have a certain utility (personal protection).

The British feel that it’s not worth the risk/benefit assessment, and I get that (I started my post explicitly acknowledging that our cultures are different on this issue). All I’m saying is that as crime increases, you might want to rethink this “all guns are bad” mentality.

      • Visitor to VG says:

I didn’t say for a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN to have a handgun will prevent all shootings. It’s about personal protection. All of your examples are about criminal behavior, or people failing to properly secure a firearm or handle it effectively during a confrontation (and I’ll take my chances of someone getting it away from me as opposed to being completely unarmed and therefore unprotected). As I said when I first posted here, I get it that for most of the British, the ‘GUNS ARE ALWAYS BAD’ mentality is in place. I suggest that for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS, you rethink it.
