Multiple guns found as five held in Spooners raid

Not any of the exact guns mentioned in the story.

Police have reported the discovery of a single high-powered weapon along with four other firearms after an early morning raid was carried out in the Spooner’s Estate area.

In a media release sent out by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), it was disclosed that the raid also resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of ammunition as well as the arrest of five persons.

Two of those now in police custody are females, while the other three are males. The RVIPF has so far not disclosed the names of any of the persons that have been arrested.

The arms find and arrests of the five persons follow multiple reports of gunshots being heard in the Spooner’s Estate area over the past few weeks.

The Force said several divisions within its ranks participated in the search conducted at two residences in the area and stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The RVIPF added that it is continuing to do its part to reduce the number of illegal firearms on the streets of the territory and individuals in possession of these weapons.

The Police also issued an appeal to persons with information on suspected individuals or the locations where these firearms are likely being held to contact them.

Persons can confidentially call the CrimeStoppers line 800-8477 (TIPS) or overseas call 1-284-800-8477 with the relevant information or contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

No names were released because No one was charged. They only release the names after charges are laid. Arrested does not equal charged.

No identifying information about these criminal offenders with illegal abd deadly weapons. The VI protects its offending demons.
And allegedly because it is a hand n gloves relationship from the top to bottom of the community pyramid.
No relief in sight for these VI. Sadly, a gloomy future in the horizon.

  21. simply says:

In the early stage of any investigations no name is release. This is standard practice simple because you do not want to tip off others who may be involved. In the more advanced stage of the investigation when a charge is laid then the name will be released.
