NAGICO Insurances has partnered with the Rotary Club of Central Tortola to donate four wheelchairs to the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA).

Explaining the donation, the local insurer said in a media release that the company recognises the important role the BVI Ports Authority plays in welcoming persons to the territory.

“It is equally important that the BVI Ports Authority is able to facilitate movement of all passengers and to ensure that this is done in a comfortable way which these wheelchairs will allow for. This is yet another example of NAGICO’s commitment to serving the Virgin Islands,” NAGICO’s Sales & Retention Manager, Stacey Roberts stated.

Meanwhile, President of the newly formed Rotary Club of Central Tortola, Nelcia St Jean said the club’s members were eager to provide the support.

“As a new and dynamic club, we understand the importance of building partnerships and we are very pleased with the support we received from NAGICO Insurances for this venture,” St Jean stated.

The wheelchairs were handed over to the BVIPA on Thursday, April 29 and the Acting Managing Director of the BVIPA, Oleanvine Maynard said the Ports were deeply grateful for the donation.

Maynard further said the wheelchairs have allowed the BVIPA to ensure that persons who are impacted by a physical challenge have easier access whilst traversing our ferry port facilities.

Here we go again with NAGICO spending maybe $2k and getting $20k worth of free advertising. NAGICO was not there to support their customers after Irma but they are here now to support BVIPA? Really!! Stop this nonsense BVINews and report news. Not free advertising for companies that st**l and s***w the people.

We need more than 4 wheelchairs because we do see some of the vistors struggling through town. Kudos to those involved.
