Officer Adams crowned Calypso Monarch 2025
Eklund Adams, known on stage as Officer Adams Songs, has emerged as the 2025 Calypso Monarch following a powerful performance that impressed both judges and the audience.
Performing original songs “Set Good Examples” and “Victims Crying Out,” Officer Adams delivered sharp social commentary with a commanding stage presence, ultimately securing the coveted title.
Veteran calypsonian Sistah Joyce took the first runner-up spot in the keenly contested competition, which remains one of the standout events of the Emancipation Festival.
This year’s Calypso Monarch showdown saw performers tackle topical issues through wit, rhythm, and lyrical mastery, staying true to the tradition of using calypso as a voice for the people.
