One Love, Islanders, and Rebels weekend victors

One Love FC defeated Old Madrid FC with a 3-1 victory during their matchup on Sunday, April 29.

Okeyne Thenstead netted two of the three goals scored by the winning team.

His teammate Ofaniss Bassaragh scored the third goal for One Love in the 68th minute.

Rohan Sweeney was the lone goal scorer for Old Madrid during Sunday’s game.

One Love’s victory puts them just three points behind league table-toppers Sugar Boys, who are on 19 points.

Islanders vs Sea Argo

In the meantime, the Islanders now sit at third place on the league table, after decimating FC Sea Argo with an easy 8-nil victory.

Fitzroy Daley of the Islanders produced a hattrick; scoring goals in the 18th, 22nd, and 23rd minutes of the match. He returned with another hattrick in the second half. His teammates Ranalle Cain and Sheldon Harry also scored one goal each.

The Islanders now have 10 points on the league table.

Rebels vs Wolues

The last match of the weekend saw Rebels FC continue their resurgence with a 3-1 win over the sea-sawing Wolues FC.

Chadwick Evans opened the scoring for the Rebels in the 36th minute, while Vernol Richards made it 2-0 in the 56th.

Phillip Nelson handed the Wolues a lifeline in the 89th before Evans scored his second goal of the match in the 90th minute.

    Old Madrid has been deal a injustice from the cheating Competition Committee. There should be no $10000. price money in an amateur league. People might conduct themselves with more integrity.
