Parillon calls for urgent infrastructure fixes
Residents of the Third District are demanding immediate action on long-standing infrastructure problems, warning that poor roads, waste management failures and unreliable water supply are putting lives and livelihoods at risk.
Community advocate Aaron Parillon told a public meeting that the district has endured years of neglect, particularly regarding garbage disposal and derelict vehicles.
“From the inception, this district has always been one that… has been plagued as a dumping site,” Parillon stated.
He traced the history of waste facilities in the area, noting that the incinerator and landfill operations have repeatedly remained within the district. “The incinerator has had problems very much, [with] very little solutions towards the local community and also the health of our community,” he said.
Parillon criticised the placement of abandoned vehicles along the roadside, arguing that they lower property values and create hazards. “We can’t tolerate it anymore,” he declared.
Residents also raised concerns about a severely compromised roadway in the hills at Threlfalls, where erosion and persistent water leaks have undermined the surface. Parillon said he had reported the issue to multiple officials without success. “The barricade does not solve the issue. The issue is you are going to wait until somebody dies to come to their funeral,” he warned.
He further disclosed that he was informed the road may be considered private property, limiting government intervention. “Regardless, if it’s a private road or a public road, it’s people and lives we’re talking about. Find the resources and get it done,” he said.
Without water weeks at a time
Unreliable water supply remains another pressing issue. Parillon said some households have gone weeks without running water. “Today is the 28th. I haven’t had water since the 12th of February,” he told residents.
He linked drainage problems and stagnant water to rising health risks, including mosquito-borne illnesses. “Sea Cows Bay has been identified as having the second largest cases of dengue in this entire country,” he stated.
Drainage maintenance, overgrown sidewalks, and inadequate street lighting were also highlighted as safety concerns, particularly as hurricane season approaches.
Rather than rely solely on central government, Parillon urged collective community action while pledging to bring documented concerns to relevant ministers. “Everything that is being said here today, notes are going to be taken, meetings are going to be had with the respective ministers,” he said.
He announced plans for follow-up meetings and a community clean-up initiative, insisting that residents must “take charge of this community”.

Meetings need to be held more often, and serous action needs to take place because it is annoying to know this kind of things has happened to our island. They need to be penalized for not doing them job. Fraser in power for how long and still no change he got to go no long talking his time overdue. Parillon please take over and make the place look beautiful.
So what is new here? Blah blah blah more talk and political rhetoric we are the same this morning
not from this brother. if one man we can say does not follow the old political rhetoric is Mr. Parillon. He has always been present, active and working. This is the form of representation this country needs. not those bunch of lazy bums driving up n down in government vehicles getting butter fat like hogs.
District 3 let us not waste this young mans energy and lets vote him into the House of Assembly.
I know thats right ! When you see someone so passionate about something but not hungry for power . He doesn’t undermine or undercut anyone… he does what he can , he helps and is very present in the community. You have to give them a chance .we must not hinder his ambitions but lift him up and give him a chance. One might be surprised what this young man will achieve for the people of the 3rd district.
Are you serious? What’s new is we had 30+ years of your Rep. Time for a clean out.
where is the rep, fraser needs to go
I certainly admire this young man’s ambition and drive. Keep it up Aron! Great things you will do bro! Walk and not run. You will get there and when you do I know you will do great things. Your heart is in the right place. I don’t know you personally but I’m proud of you brother. You will be a voice for our generation . Us young people have to support each other and stick together. I’m watching you evolve and one day I will be able to say “ I knew Aron was going to be a force to reckon with. “ People may doubt you but don’t mind the noise . You know in your heart who you are and you know the dreams and visions God have placed there. Follow them bro they will come to fruition!
More noise cause it’s close to election but no difference will occur especially with a corn man!
Aron have alway been present in the community… more so than the district rep!
what is a corn man??? Inquiring minds want to know.
Residents must take charge of their communities. An urgent change of mindset is needed for us to survive what is coming on the planet right now. BVI wake up its do or die time the world situation calls for Positive Action from everyone united as one this is no time for division and distraction come on people lets get ourselves together and plan our work and work our plan. Nuff respect Aaron.
Anyone drove over Hope Hill heading to or from East? That’s a serious accident waiting to happen and it has about three reps living in the East End area, who I am sure drive that road from time to time.
It is HORRIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Taxes increase all over but no indication of tax being used to improve the country….
Tax returns when? Cuz you yall clearly using it for something else
Heard the meeting flooded
You mean flopped
Fraser or willock going give this child a cut ass
He going to spend the money on him and his friends watch you see, more of the same under a different name
Where are the crowd photos from this event. Sometimes these politicians with ambitions come in and cause more harm than good trying to look good but offer no real solutions to the problems.
What a foolish statement.
These guys resurface every 4 years and know all the problems we have here in the Territory. At the same time, not providing and real solutions. We seem to forget we had Cat 5 hurricane and a whole pandemic. Larger economies are struggling amidst price increase internationally. When the roads are fixed these gloom and doom preachers move on to something else.
This one here been around. Quit capping. Yall fear this brother because yall know he ain’t a yes man.
Tell us where to put the incinerator? In your yard? Our Territory does not have much flat land. We have to make do and improve on what we have and not just blowing hot air.
That’s an Ignorant statement by someone that doesn’t live in our community. Why don’t we put it in your yard since you’re comfortable with it killing the people in Sea Cows Bay. This young man is correct. Too many of us see wrong doing and comfortable with it because we are afraid to speak out but this is the type of leader we need regardless of how nasty some of you people are.
He will get my family’s votes.
Aaron has no clue of anything he is a waste of time every time you go to him he will get back to you he has no respect by the upper class we going give rajah smith a try
Aaron soon to be Hon. Aaron Parillon 3rd minister, I am really proud of you and I think the rest of the district feels the same way. Ms Rosie did a good job and must be proud.
Aaron has no respect by the upper class….What kind of an a** are you .. its time to rid ourselves of these scourge on humanity lets start at the polls.
If you think Aaron on here blogging all day going get him elected trust me it does not work that way, sea cows bay not going town with no dead horse this dude can’t make it
Only person that has time to blog all day is the owner for VINO Juli@n W!ll#ck. Listening to him, I feel he is dead scared of this young man. He has no traction in the district so he is banking on Fraser to endorse him but we waiting to see his name on a ballot to teach him a lesson.
Now now now how did the esteemed got in the mix? The man just drinking water and minding his own business….
Remember.
No money for infrastructure unless it is a SECRETIVE airport project.
Then you will see the money flow into the Elites pockets.
Frazer’s planning to become another Ralph O’Neal-aging out/dying in office!
Sad!!!
I had expected a much better response of this issue, in the Third!
Aaron, is-would make a great representative!
Where are the people to put this young man in the Assembly?
