PHOTOS: East End J’Ouvert 2025
Scores of revellers took to the streets on the eastern end of Tortola early Wednesday morning for the East End J’ouvert — a vibrant display of music, movement, and emancipation pride.
The annual event, part of the Virgin Islands’ Emancipation Festival, saw participants dancing behind music trucks as they made their way along the traditional route, doused in paint and powder and energised by rhythmic soca beats.
As the procession reached the bridge to Beef Island, some revellers took the opportunity to leap into the water below, adding to the spirited atmosphere that marked the early-morning celebration.
The event once again lived up to its reputation as one of the most anticipated highlights on the festival calendar.

Considering that person no longer have to worry about getting caught up in unnecessary fights over man/woman.
they dont gotta worry about a gunman in the crowd who wan to lick off some shots to his opps and catch a stray bullet
they dont have to inhale yall stink body order.
they dont have to get bad lungs or cancer from all the 2nd hand smoking
they dont have to worry about having a higher chance at catching sti/hiv from a one stand with anyone from that crowd
there offsprings will be raised with self respect , dignity and morals so theres a good chance they will be married off or pick a partner of value and have a much less chance of ending up a single parent…
i would say that person would be feeling really specialy yes.
and to that person i must tell you….. dont let anyone gaslight you into thinking wrong is good and good is wrong.
if you have to choose someone who lives recklessly and carefree, smokes, drinks and parties like aniamals to watch your child or someone who’s indoors, has respect for themself and is responsible? logical at that point.

who got a higher chance of sti/hiv?
someone who out partying and at every vulgar event drinking and getting into short term relationships? or someone who seeks the right person, careful about who their partners is, willing to test before intercourse and is looking a lifestime partner who is responsible and knows they will take care of their family has morals, self respect, not a party animal, not out clubbing or griding on stangers/ friends etc.
pretty ezy choice… those who pick partners from these events are most cases in domestic violence with each other… (over cheating or going out to these events), most times end up a single parent, most times have no respect for their partner, not responsible person to have child with, and they for sure not looking to marry (always one sided)
but yall will feel it when you reach up in age and realised you have no life long partner, you can’t keep a long term relationship bcuz of your past or current lifestyle, you realise people who attend these activites are not worth settling down with or being friends with, ur offsprings who dont have repsect for you and end up a party animal just like you……………good luck and have fun guys!
wow i said a mouthful lol. i think we should let the younger generation have their way for festival for 2 years! no rules, no old people nagging, no police just fun.
then let them see what their choices and prefrence only ignites chaos…they will learn then…
the amount of fight videos i saw from these events smhhh then we had our gunman them being present at these events to have “fun” good luck to yall. can’t feel sorry cuz who dont hear does feel….but some of yall dont learn it seems and love to feel……………………………(I.E TOXIC relationships)
