PHOTOS: Festival Soca Invasion Night a crowd pleaser

(Photos by Manny Modeste/BVI News)The Festival Village came alive on Saturday night, August 1 as the Soca Invasion leg of the territory’s 72nd emancipation festivities attracted a large, energetic crowd for one of the most vibrant nights of the festival.
Patrons repped their flags inside the packed venue, creating an electric atmosphere that lasted into the early hours of the morning. The audience danced, sang along and embraced the infectious Soca rhythms.
The event featured an exciting lineup of performers, including Xclusive, Triple Kay, Lil Natty & Thunda, Problem Child, Patrice Roberts and VIBE, each delivering crowd-pleasing performances that kept the momentum high throughout the night.
The strong turnout continued the festival’s momentum, with vendors also benefiting from the steady stream of patrons who enjoyed food, drinks and the lively atmosphere.
