PHOTOS: Glow Night sees massive turnout

The penultimate night of entertainment inside the Lavida Cottoy Festiville drew a large crowd on Friday night, August 7, as hundreds of patrons packed the venue for an unforgettable show headlined by Jamaican dancehall artiste Popcaan.
The event, dubbed Glow Night and themed “Neon Bright Attire”, also saw performances from Final Faze, Stefan, Banco Bizmol, Boss, Popcaan VIBE and Lady Mix. DJ Mac and DJ Malie kept the music going throughout the night, while Hashim The Dream served as host.
The festival concludes tonight with Festival Last Lap, themed “Drink the Bars Dry”. The final night will feature performances from Da Villain, Dem ft Ramon G, OVA Drive, YFB, Mr Killa and OMG, with DJ Mac Milli and Carly Cartel on the turntables.

(Unruly) The word unruly is an adjective that means hard to control, manage, or govern. It describes people, animals, or things that refuse to follow rules, behave in a disorderly way, or resist authority.
Otherwise anything that’s unruly will be supported and endorsed by a lot of people. We have a lot of Unruly people here. Just few days ago an Unruly crew member was caught with guns and bullets. Just a few weeks ago an Unruly band member and singer was caught after 12am with an unlicensed gun. Just a month ago an unruly crew shot and killed a man for his gold chain ( well that is the story that has been shared by an unruly crew member) just last week an unruly crew member shot and killed Mr. De Castro and as always none of the Unruly Crew members aren’t saying enough is enough. The unruly crew are loyal to the blood hands culture they have signed up for.
How many of the untrained aka, jungle animals male and female took a bath before they crowd up on each other at the village last night.
if the kartel concert the government financed had this big turn out they might have made back their investment
What we celebrate is a demonic ritual while crowds dance and perform all types of lewd acts to celebrate the blood sacrifices. Anybody with half a brain would realize what is really taking place.I would cry shame on all the relevant persons in authority except for the fact that they are too dumb to recognize what goes on or so heavily invested in one form or another that their personal safety and well being is threatened. This place has become a haven for every foul bird and every unclean spirit…say it ain’t so you coward bitch a** useless pieces of s**t.
Headline says thousands, your headline says massive. Which is it?
So glad this chaotic part of the year finally coming to an end.
Every year these events does bring out some real animals, mehson. Every time you blink, somebody fighting. A whole set of uncivilized, drunk people gathering with their criminal friends to party, cheat, fight, smoke, drink, throw up gang signs, throw up gun signs and generally behave like society never invented consequences.
And somehow we supposed to call this “culture.”
Government went hard advertising condoms around this time for a reason, by the way. But let’s not talk about that.
Them post all the nice Festival photos, videos, outfits and vibes…
But y’all ain’t posting all them nonstop fights and gunshot incidents, and all the other foolishness that come with it.
Two murders. Fights. Gunshots.
And nobody said, “Boy, leh we cut things short because people wilding.”
Nah.
**PARTY MUST GO ON!**
Apparently a couple bodies and bullets ain’t enough to interrupt the vibes.
Then when something happens later everybody suddenly becomes a philosopher:
“STOP THE VIOLENCE!”
“PUT THE GUNS DOWN!”
“WE NEED PEACE!”
My brother… y’all had a whole week to practice peace.
And fellas, if you see a lady you fancy and she LOVES attending these kinds of events…
**RUN.**
Ladies, if you see a man you fancy and he LIVES for these kinds of events…
**RUN FASTER.**
Because some of y’all want a responsible, stable, faithful, family-oriented partner while simultaneously selecting from environments built around drunkenness, hypersexuality, fighting, drugs, guns and people who apparently can’t make it through an evening without proving they have anger-management issues.
Make it make sense.
The young adults and young people love jumping online to defend the vulgar displays, smoking, explicit music, drunkenness, dry humping and general foolishness that come with these activities.
But the funniest part?
The SAME people defending the “good vibes” can’t even get along with each other for a few hours.
Big brawls.
Arguments.
Weapons.
Gunshots into crowds.
People getting hurt.
And we’re still supposed to pretend this environment is some wholesome celebration of community.
**Please.**
Nothing wrong with having a little fun.
The problem is some of y’all apparently don’t know where “fun” ends and “criminal investigation” begins.
And let’s talk about the anti-police crowd.
I remember when there was talk some years ago about having events with security and no police.
That would’ve been one hell of a social experiment.
Because apparently the expectation was that the young people who smoke, drink, fight, throw up gang signs, throw up gun signs and associate themselves with people carrying weapons would suddenly become model citizens because somebody wearing a private-security shirt told them:
“Guys, please behave.”
Yeah.
Good luck with that.
You can’t spend all year telling police how much you hate them, acting like laws don’t apply to you, surrounding yourself with people known for violence, then expect everybody to magically become civilized when the music starts.
And I have one simple question:
**Why would I put my life in the hands of somebody who constantly throws up gang and gun signs in every picture and video?**
No thanks.
I’m supposed to trust that somebody who openly glorifies that lifestyle is suddenly going to conduct themselves appropriately because they bought a Festival ticket and is party time???
Not meeeee.
And this goes for the women AND men.
Some of y’all knowingly associate yourselves with people involved in violence, guns and criminal activity, then act shocked when something eventually happens.
You knew the environment.
You knew the people.
You saw the red flags.
You still went.
And then when the consequences arrive:
“Stop the violence!”
“Somebody needs to do something!”
“Where were the police?”
Listen.
Personal responsibility is still a thing.
If you repeatedly put yourself in environments filled with hotheads, criminals, weapons, excessive drinking and reckless behavior, you are increasing your exposure to the consequences of that environment.
That’s not me wishing harm on anybody.
That’s called **understanding your surroundings.**
Humanity really came too far technologically for people to have so little situational awareness of their environments
And somehow some people still can’t recognize a red flag standing directly in front of them.
And some women will repeatedly choose men from these environments, overlook every warning sign imaginable, then eventually end up raising children alone and wondering:
“How did I end up here?”
Sis…
You picked him.
He showed you exactly who he was.
You just thought you were going to be the exception.
Same thing with the fellas.
You can’t spend every weekend around women, alcohol, fights and foolishness and then suddenly expect to find a peaceful, drama-free relationship because you decided you’re “ready to settle down.”
Your environment shapes your choices.
Your choices shape your life.
And then we have the people saying:
“Leave allyuh gun and just come have fun!”
You really believe somebody who went through all the trouble to illegally obtain a firearm, hide it, carry it into an event and potentially risk their freedom…
…is going to hear you say:
“Bro, please leave the gun home tonight. We’re just here to have fun.”
**You think he cares about YOU telling him that?**
He doesn’t care about the law.
He doesn’t care about the police.
Why would he care about your little Festival speech?
And let’s make another bet.
After Festival is finished, watch and see whether we get a nice little run of fights, shootings, assaults and other foolishness afterward….
News flash ! we won’t! This crap only happens back to back during festival time
Meanwhile young adults on social media will be defending every single behavior associated with the environment that produces these problems.
You can’t celebrate the culture around reckless behavior and then act surprised when reckless behavior shows up.
You can’t normalize the red flags and then complain about the consequences.
And you definitely can’t spend Festival week screaming:
**“LEH PEOPLE HAVE FUN!”**
Then the following week scream:
**“STOP THE VIOLENCE!”**
Pick a struggle.
I’m not saying people can’t enjoy themselves.
But if your idea of “fun” requires excessive drinking, drugs, half-naked displays, fighting, sexual recklessness, gang affiliations, gun culture and people behaving like absolute animals…
Maybe the problem isn’t that people are “judging” your lifestyle.
Maybe the lifestyle deserves some judgment.
Because when an event repeatedly attracts enough foolishness that people have to constantly discuss fights, violence, weapons and police presence…
At some point, perhaps we should stop pretending the environment has no connection to the behavior.
Anyway…
Festival done.
Everybody survived.
Some barely.
Somehow the party continued.
And now watch everybody come back online talking about:
**“Peace and love.”**

Can’t rate him, don’t respect that ..Want to see musicians backing an artist, then he cursing the laptop man for been slow, one man, Imagine that, no wonder why he doesn’t have a band… Didn’t enjoy Popcorn Show one bit, Most time I didn’t understand what he was saying, I actually leave before the show done…Good for festival committee numbers matter.
