PHOTOS: Revellers flock East for Rise & Shine Tramp

Hundreds of revellers came out and participated in the East End/Long Look leg of the Rise & Shine Tramp which was deemed a success by the organisers.

The event started in the wee hours of Wednesday morning and lasted approximately five hours, as revellers partied to the musical stylings of the Nu Vybes band as well as joint soca monarch champions, VIBE.

Chairwoman of the East End/Long Look Festival Sub-committee Sandra Potter said the overall event was well received by patrons.

“From all indications, it was huge as usual. The people were very receptive of the two bands on the road and from all appearances, everyone had a good time,” Potter stated.

She further said the new two-band structure was also hit and gave revellers the option to choose.

“Everybody was able to jump and revel behind the band of their choice and that was always our intention to make sure that the people are able to enjoy themselves in a safe and friendly manner with music that they enjoy. This speaks to the focus and theme of our emancipation celebrations.”

Thats a lot of people bound for hell if they do not stop their revelling. Mercy. Jesus can save all of you if you just surrender and accept him.

@Saint Mark: Save your breath. They will never change their ways. You would think that Irma would have changed them right?

Judge not for you know not, whats in the heart of these people.. They are celebrating along with the spirits of their ancestors.. but its ok before I get to deep.. Go back to praising your white Gods in your white churches.. And leave that matters that you can’t understand to the creator and his people.. Don’t speak for the most high.. you must be God knowing who is bound for where..

Just rest assured that you won’t be among those in hell. In other words; mind your business.

People have lost their decency I will never be part of such thing. Woman and man humping each other on the street like dogs, when people around the world see that they wonder if we are civilized or what. Hufff
