PHOTOS: VG Easter Fest Parade

This past weekend was bustling with activity on Virgin Gorda (VG) as the sister island hosted another successful staging of the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival.

Saturday, March 30, marked the opening night of the festival village, named in honour of VG businessman Rupert ‘Buck’ Vanterpool Sr. Opening night also featured the Glow ‘N Fete, showcasing acts such as Jamaican recording artist Christopher Martin and Trinidadian singer Nadia Batson, among others.

Sunday centred around the Ralph T O’Neal Hat Parade, but a major highlight of this year’s VG Easter Fest was the annual parade held yesterday.

Our photographer, Andre ‘Shadow’ Dawson, was on hand to capture the highlights.

From bad to “worser!” And it quite interesting how one group can spend an entire year living, by choice, segregated from the rest of the community, but can find a snakish way to come in one of the top tier activities.

The view and philosophy should be, if you feel the need to live apart them you should stay apart. You should not get to chose when you will interact with us and when not. That is called human democracy.

To whom you refer, just Think for a moment.
We, don’t speak up when we ought to and if they do and they will, then We ask” “Why don’t they stay in
their Lane and leave our Business alone?” Now they want to mingle, You have a problem with that. Don’t complain, they will again go back in their Holes until next time. It takes two to Tango!! Try extending an Olive Branch to them and You may be surprised of their reaction…
