Police arrest two men, seize two firearms
The police have arrested and charged two men who were found carrying two unlicensed firearms. The weapons were seized in two separate incidents on October 1 and 2.
In the first incident on Friday, October 2, police officers stopped and searched 19-year-old T’Quan Bodkin at the Road Town Ferry Terminal.
The police said Bodkin, who is of a Huntums Ghut address, smelled strongly of cannabis and was acting suspiciously. He was found with a loaded unlicensed firearm for which he was subsequently arrested and charged.
In the second incident on Saturday, October 3, police officers who were on patrol in Trellis Bay on Beef Island, stopped and searched 24-year-old Kenaz Hazel of a Purcell Estate address. Hazel — who has had previous run-ins with the law — was found with a loaded, unlicensed firearm and rounds of ammunition.
He was arrested and brought to Road Town Police Station where he was charged.
Both men will appear before the Magistrate on the next available court date.

Gun clowns, acting suspicious when the cops come and stink of weed
Maybe it’s just my impression but since the ships arrived the police started doing more raids and consequently finding drugs and guns. Great job!
They must be in training for the Drc 1 opening for tourism. By the way does anyone know where and who is being trained. Is this Dec 1 opening more smoke and mirrors by the Foy. Please speak up if you know anything about the preparations for Dec 1.
In a place where we’ve had so many unsolved cases and with two recent cases it’s disturbing to see community activists and public figure who works at the [government] posting comments like “ hand feeling better and trigger happy”?! You’d think an adult like that especially someone who tried running for the office would know better.
