Police charge second man from January’s 200 kilo cocaine find

A second man has been charged in connection to a police operation that resulted in the seizure of more than 200 kilos of cocaine back in January.

Twenty-eight-year-old East End resident, Shaun Massicott is charged for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned with the supply of a controlled drug.

“He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Friday and was offered bail. Devon Bedford had been previously charged in the matter,” the police said in a media statement on Thursday.

During an operation in the Brandywine Bay area of Tortola on January 19, officers of the police intercepted a rental vehicle, searched it, and uncovered a large quantity of cocaine.

A subsequent search of a second vehicle uncovered a smaller quantity of cocaine. A boat was also seized as part of that operation.

Through all this lockdown how are such large quantities of drugs getting on the island? I’m sure there’s way bigger fish to fry. These just the Johnny cakes on the plate. The border protection is in the toilet. I’m sure you go through these dummies whatsapp and you’ll have a field day cause most of them are so bold and ostentatious. Real gangstas move in silence and is a bunch’s chatty patties in the mix nowadays. Now headed to Villa de Balo for the extended luxurious vacation they have become accustomed too. VI really needs to tighten up. 200 kilos is absolutely absurd.
