Police have launched an investigation into a burglary that has been reported at the Waterfront Taxi Stand in Road Town.

Information Officer at the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Diane Drayton, told BVI News the incident was reported early Wednesday morning.

Police were not able to provide further details into the incident.

BVI News, however, understands that burglars gained entry to the facility through a window which they damaged.

The Waterfront Taxi Stand is located adjacent to the Road Town Ferry Terminal, which attracts a considerable amount of traffic and business to the area.
