Rishi Sunak to become UK’s first British-Asian PM

Rishi Sunak

Britain’s former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak will be the United Kingdom’s next prime minister after his lone remaining rival, Penny Mordaunt, dropped out of the race for party leader ahead of nomination deadline on Monday.

The 42-year-old will also become the first person of colour to lead the UK, and the youngest to do so in more than 200 years.

The BBC reports that Sunak, a practising Hindu, is expected to take office in the coming days.

The King will appoint Sunak, who will take over from Ms Truss following her resignation just 45 days into her disastrous term.

In a brief statement, the incoming Prime Minister warned that the country faces “profound economic challenges”.

Yeah, but let’s keep pushing the narrative that it’s racist white people from the UK who are trying to destroy the BVI because they hate black people.

Just think, Kamala Harris and Sunak are both Indian and should be of great benefit for the nation of India ?? once a British colony!

Can Sunak be loyal to the nation of India ??? Or will he threaten his own people and make them suffer!

Will the US Vice President also stand up for the concerns of India ?? and bring help to that nation and people?

India’s hegemony is exploring right across the west and it’s great for geopolitics!

Should the US president retire early, the western world will be ruled by 2 Indians.

Person of color what. The man and his family is worth over $800 million and that’s the only reason he is in this position. Nothing to see here, typical nonsense for optics!

Thank you!!!!!! Why would Secret Bear begin the divisive racial rhetoric? First on the page!!! So draconian, so out of touch. Mr. Sunak is a man of color, not white at all.
Educated and smart about finance yes. Does that provoke your outburst of unwarranted emotional drama?
He was the finance minister for Boris Johnson. Liz Truss could not manage the financial budget as the UK’s finances are in jeopardy, just as the BVI many other Countries.
I often wonder how such negativity surfaces first with such limited knowledge of the political situation.
It’s remarkable! Secret Bear you and the rest of us will have no choice but to learn through experiencing what is to come. I will pray for your peace during that very soon time. You are loved by God. And that is what really counts.

“the narrative that it’s racist white people from the UK who are trying to destroy the BVI because they hate black peope,” is a legit timely and historically concern for BVIslanders based on UK’s history and treatment of Brown/Black and Indian people, and their gross indifference to Brown/Black people in general.. So what is the point you are tryig to covey?

is the birth place or race of a true leader. What matters is how you move through your life as an asset to this planet not a liability.

Why do many of these comments raise the racist flag?
We live in the 21st century. No one really cares about the skin. We’re all human beings. Get over the past and move forward.

Someone like you will support a rich dude to become Premier of the BVI right?

This sense of entitlement with your small minded mentality of what someone is worth.

We want a leader with good humanitarian principles.

  13. @ @Secret Bear says:

What you have written is true. And when will that story be a part of your history. Do not forget. That history gives no on the the right to co to ie to destroy all white or black folk. The time now is for God. Are you greater than God now? Let Gid heal your wounds and He will answer your prayers in these times but kindly leave His creations out by not directing this vile horrific memory on everyone who is white. White people did not invent slavery. The Zionist Karzarians did. Black folks were the first Wall Street market. Horrific. Tribal elites were the people who brought their people to market. Why? Big bucks. It became a very lucrative trade for Europeans and all other groups world wide. It is against Gods will to judge a man just by the color of his skin and my comment was racist fir no reason. Mr. Sunak a Brit with an Indian heritage. So what’s with the white people. Balance, not embellishment is a valuable thing when writing publically. I hear you and all races that suffered long under the Kazarian M experienced the same torture. Nothing compared to the torture the trafficked child endures today. Have you researched their unbearable suffering and ritual death. 8 billion yearly, globally. Never forget just don’t force us all to live with it daily. God would not ask any of his children to do that. I have been to many places in the world. And the suffering is endless, but I have never been quite so exposed to such constant angst as here. It is remarkable when so much else is going on in the world that is important to learn as the world grows smaller and smaller. How does the Island help one to maintain that conversation over and over while the Island sinks into poverty?

EU Citizen are you serious? Where have you been, under a rock? Yes this is the 21st century and the UN just had a press release with the heading
“RISE OF RACISM, INTOLERANCE IS SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRATIC PROCESS, THIRD COMMITTEE TOLD”

Almost 50% of Americans elected a racist for President a few years ago. Black and brown refugees are denied asylum while Ukrainians are granted citizenship.

Can a human be a wealthy black person with $800 million dollars and be in some business or political position,
in which there are many, and still be considered a black, highly educated, gifted, creative, successful business person who works hard for all people at that income level? Why would you pop out recklessly and insult your own peoples genius and wealth? I don’t find that so funny, just ego maniacal, and lost. This man has a bio that most people cannot lift. But he’s only a brown Indian so will be stamped out by a delusion in your mind. Optic is a word you do not relate to. You have no idea what his position entails. But, I know that you will receive all the benefits with hands wide open. We shall see the BVI throw him away because he’s light skinned and rich. Not! Buy bitcoin and you as a black person can be rich too. Many black people of great wealth are currently in the crypto and stock market making millions. Now’s the time to buy and you can have great wealth too. Don’t miss out. All you need is $150 to make money and you too can grow it and become wealthy. Perhaps thinking of a wealthy you will dissolve your pain. It does for the rest of us.

  17. EU Citizen says:

So don’t help those crazy people push it. Just ignore their stupid populist arguments.

  18. @lol says:

    Just British!!

  19. Um says:

Inda is part of Asia(South asia to be exact), thats how they refer to theme in the UK, as Indians make up the lion share of the asian population there. Just a matter of semantics

  20. Nrgtitz says:

    Speak for yourself.
Reality is a real thin h.
Jamaica by October 2023 had 10000 plus murders ..Caribbean Island chain is the deadliest place in the Western Hemusphere. even though they are independent..get real..illiteracy,poverty,poor health is reality in the so-called independent bkack nations..Black folks are a danger to themselves. They are masters at self destruction.
The BVI is a perfect case history.
No end to this earthly abyss in this part of the World. I have serious concern about property value in the VI. Time to sell out to foreign interest if this place is to remain afloat.

A wonderful reason to celebrate. Folks he’s been in the UK ministry and many know him already. Boris Johnson will take on another role. Time to celebrate a new beginning. Such good news. So if you know him by his last job then you will know there is hope at least. Please don’t write and say how he could be bad or corrupt or a lousy Indian. Just learn and then decide. An expert is rich. And UK needs a financial expert to get out of their mess. Perhaps help get the BVI to full independence. Thank you

  26. BuzzBvi says:

They are raised because for too long people here have peddled racism, not their own racism, but pointing to the notion of the UK being white racists with white racist leaders. Harder when UK now has Rishi and recently Kwasi and they are just two amongst the many varied people in significant roles.

  28. @@Secret Bear says:

Well you said it! The ‘narrative’. You see you have been programmed to keep that Narrative and refuse to move forward. The system globally is corrupt, and please try to see that God wins. his presence is here now. And no one will get away, including those who continue this man made narrative. Try to learn the truth NOW. You can no longer judge in this infantile manner with your narrative that you were born with. You did not experience anything. Trust me. You bounce off some ignorant narrative. Think this way about any of Gods children without any insight and you WILL see results.
