RiteWay upbeat about new store on VG

Roadtown Wholesale Trading (RTW) is upbeat about its new retail store that has been opened in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda.

The company, which operates RiteWay Food Markets, has been serving Virgin Gorda since 1971.

It said the opening of a new store on the island indicates that RTW is strengthening its position in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) market.

The new RiteWay store boasts a 12,000 square foot space – almost twice the size of the previous location.

“A unique store located in the heart of the Virgin Gorda shopping district allows consumers flexibility in their shopping choices,” said RTW, which was purchased recently by Canadian firm North West.

Describing itself as the premier wholesale and retail company in the BVI, RTW expressed hope that consumers will respond positively to the changes.

“We are excited to bring another RiteWay Food Markets store to the area, and we believe our products are well suited for the Virgin Gorda market, and that consumers will positively respond to the in-store experience and superior service levels that are a hallmark of RiteWay,” said Guy Strickland, Managing Director at RTW.

RTW, in further describing the new store, said it is fully air-conditioned and modernized for ease of shopping.

It added that the upgrades will benefit both consumers and employees.

“The store will be open seven days a week and provides several options for the wholesale and retail provisioning of customers,” RTW said.
