RTW raises $25K for Hurricane Dorian relief for the Bahamas

Tortola, October 8th, 2019 – RiteWay Food Markets, the British Virgin Islands largest supermarket chain, today announces it has exceeded its goal of raising $20,000 for the Bahamas Hurricane Relief fund.

In less than one month, the fund received donations from valued customers and employees, totalling $12,500 which the company matched to reach the company’s goal of raising $25,000 which will be sent to the Government of the Bahamas Cabinet & Disaster Management (NEMA) on behalf of our customers and RiteWay Food Markets.

“The BVI saw so much aid and goodwill after Irma Hit us in 2017. I was not surprised at the generosity extended by our customers to help the victims of Dorian in the Bahamas, especially with so many other great organizations on island at the same time fundraising” said Guy Strickland Managing Director of Roadtown Wholesale Group of Companies.

“We are proud to be making this donation on behalf of the company and our customers.” About RoadTown Wholesale Trading RTW is the premiere wholesaler and retailer in the BVI.

RTW has seven RiteWay Food Markets retail outlets, an online provisioning department, Cash & Carry a non-membership store, and one wholesale operation serving the British Virgin Islands.
