SCB man charged following recent stabbing incident
A Sea Cow’s Bay man has been arrested over a recent stabbing incident that occurred in the territory last month.
Verne Forbes Jr, 29, was charged with unlawful and malicious wounding after the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) received a report on Sunday, November 19 concerning a male who arrived at Dr Orlando Hospital with stab wounds.
Officers responded and conducted investigations, leading to the arrest and charging of Forbes. The RVIPF said Forbes remains in custody, awaiting his scheduled appearance at the Magistrate’s Court.
Forbes is no stranger to the court and has been arrested and charged multiple times for various serious infractions over the years.
The RVIPF previously indicated that the stabbing occurred in Sea Cows Bay and police said at the time of the incident that the male victim was in a stable condition.
Police did not offer any updates about the status of the male victim who had been hospitalised.
