Thieves target RiteWay

The Royal Virgin Islands Police is said to be probing an early-morning burglary at a RiteWay Supermarket on Tortola.

Responding to queries from BVI News on Sunday, Police Information Officer Akia Thomas said: “I can confirm the receipt of a report of a burglary at Rite Way after 2 am this morning.”

She said the details surrounding the incident was not yet clear and that “investigations are ongoing”.

Thomas also said no one has been charged or in custody. The number of persons involved in the incident is unknown, she further said.

BVI News will provide more information as it becomes available.
