Two men and a woman jointly charged for illegal gun

Not the firearm mentioned in the story

The police have charged two men and a woman in connection to an illegal gun seized on the western end of Tortola on Friday.

Charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm are 25-year-old Delano Johnney of Cane Garden Bay, as well as Little Apple Bay residents Feddis Matthias, 41, and Nicole Maxine, 38.

They were arrested when police executed a search warrant at Matthias and Maxine’s shared residence at Little Apple Bay.

“The three are scheduled to appear in Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting,” the police said in a media release Saturday morning.

Investigations are ongoing.

  6. Gateman says:

What was the search warrant for and how can you get a license to carry fire arms

  7. Oh boy says:

Mr.Gateman for your information even if the Police executes a search warrant for a stolen pound of sugar and a Firearm is found the person(s) in whose possession the compound is must prove that they have licence to have that in their possession. Also any other item that is found in one’s possession and is suspected to be stolen and the person can not explain how they became in possession of that item, it can be taken into the Police custody for investigation purpose. That means the Police is going to check and see if they were reported stolen and if someone can properly identify this/these article(s).
