Update: Bank manager still in critical condition in US

Branch Manager for Scotiabank in Road Town, Ryan Best.

Branch Manager of Scotiabank in Road Town, Ryan Best is still receiving medical treatment in the United States after being mowed down by a motorist while in St Maarten at the weekend.

“He is stable but he is still critical,” said Managing Director of Scotiabank, Sarah Hobbs in a brief interview with BVI News on Thursday.

She noted that staff members at the financial institution are saddened by the incident, which she described as traumatic.

St Maarten authorities reportedly found Best in a pool of blood during the wee hours of April 28.

A vehicle had struck Best but the driver never stopped, according to St Maarten media reports.

Best sustained a ‘severe head injury’ and had to be transported to the Saint Maarten Medical Centre.

He was later flown to the United States because of the seriousness of his injuries.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family that he makes a full recovery,” Hobbs told BVI News.

I am praying he makes a full recovery. I dealt with him at the bank the same week. This tells us that life is as the Word says “like a vapour”, so it is expedient that we consider being ready (not just in case another hurricane comes), but be ready to leave earth at any time (having turned to “the only name given among men by which we can be saved”). If you want joy, real joy…it is freely available from The Creator.
