US plans to require foreign visitors to be vaccinated

US Embassy seal

The United States government is reportedly developing plans that will require nearly all foreign visitors to America to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

This is according to multiple international media reports published last month.

The BBC has reported that these plans are part of the Biden administration’s intention to create a “phased reopening” for international visitors.

America’s existing travel restrictions — which have been described as extraordinary — were first imposed on China in January 2020 to address the spread of COVID-19. Numerous other countries have been added since.

As for the BVI, America’s Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has advised persons to “avoid travel to the British Virgin Islands”.

“If you must travel to the British Virgin Islands, make sure you are fully vaccinated before travel. Because of the current situation in the British Virgin Islands, even fully vaccinated travellers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants,” the CDC has said.

Yet they are threatening not to come to our shores if they have to be tested upon arrival. We are seen as a third world country therefore; they can demand local authorities because WE ARE in desperate need for their money. Double standard at its best.

The US does not recognize the Astra Zeneca vaccine, so even if you are double-AZ vaxxed it doesnt count in the US. BVI government needs to be pushing the UK to provide Moderna / J&J to us (and the storage equipment) so we can get everyone jabbed with a US recognized vaccine.

Are you mental? If the UK are not using the AZ vaccine what are they using? You guys are dangerous posting misinformation all the time. If the US will mandate vaccinated foreign persons only then they would have to accept whatever vaccines that they have taken to be deemed fully vaccinated. The US cannot come after the fact and say only xyz vaccine would be accepted. There is supposed to be a global standard for vaccines despite differences in efficacy.

  6. CDC says:

“Before you arrive in the United States:
All air passengers coming to the United States, including U.S. citizens and fully vaccinated people, are required to have a negative COVID-19 viral test result no more than 3 days before travel or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months before they board a flight to the United States.”
