US Rapper Megan Thee Stallion spends birthday in BVI

A highlight from American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion’s recent post on Instagram.

International rap star Megan Thee Stallion marked her February 15 birthday with a sun-soaked getaway in the BVI, sharing multiple posts from her trip with her 8.8 million Facebook followers and nearly 32 million Instagram fans.

The images, featuring the Grammy-winning artiste enjoying the territory’s crystal-blue waters and scenic landscapes, are generating significant positive attention for the BVI’s tourism product.

In one photo shared on her verified Facebook page, Megan — dressed in stylish resort wear aboard a yacht against the backdrop of turquoise seas and a fluttering BVI’s maritime flag — captioned her post: “Aw man, I was not ready for this birthday trip to be over. A time was definitely had…” alongside emojis of celebration and gratitude. The posts have since drawn thousands of likes, comments and shares, effectively giving the territory free global exposure to her wide fan base.

Tourism officials and local stakeholders have long touted the BVI as a world-class Caribbean escape, and celebrity attention helps reinforce that image just as the destination rebuilds and markets itself to international leisure travellers.

Megan’s BVI birthday follow-up comes amid a history of high-profile visits to the territory — particularly Necker Island, the exclusive private island owned by billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson. Over the years, Necker has played host to global figures including former U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, who vacationed there after leaving the White House, as well as entertainment icons such as Mariah Carey, Kate Winslet and Kate Moss.

The celebrity cachet of the BVI has been highlighted in both travel media and tourism marketing, reinforcing the destination’s appeal to affluent and aspirational travellers. Megan Thee Stallion’s social media spotlight is likely to add to that momentum, translating to heightened interest and potential bookings from fans and travellers worldwide.

Hating much? You are disgusting. Who are you to determine that someone has nothing to offer humandity?

I would bet you are projecting and you are the one that is a waste of space who have not accomplished much in your life so you lash out at those who have accomplished something.

Rest assured, Megan would not even give you the time of the day. So stay in your corner trowing stones that will go astray.

Calling a woman with 40 million followers an “empty vessel” is a bold take from someone whose impact doesn’t ripple past their own comment section. Megan Thee Stallion didn’t just pose for vacation photos. She delivered the BVI, a marketing boost most destinations pay for. She handed the BVI millions of dollars’ worth of global visibility with a single swipe. That’s influence, that’s reach, and that’s impact whether you like her music or not.
If that level of visibility counts as nothing to offer, then perhaps the mirror needs more attention than the celebrity.

    • The world has changed says:

This isn’t celebrity worship so much as a recognition of how the media landscape has shifted. If you look at television, for instance, advertising dollars have steadily migrated away from traditional broadcast and toward the internet. Someone with 8.8 million Facebook followers and 32 million on Instagram — even allowing for some inflation in those numbers — still represents a channel through which an enormous audience can be reached. Advertising is costly, and securing that level of exposure without paying for it carries real value. In fact, I would go a step further and suggest inviting not only entertainers but also athletes, political figures, and others with substantial followings. The world has changed, and we would do well to adapt to the ways people now consume information.

I do agree with you and couldn’t have said it better. Many of the readers on this site are extremely bitter and negative and only see politics and gossip as news. When positive news is published they get no comments – even stories of BVIslanders excelling on the international stage.

This young lady is a big superstar and she not only patronized our country but marketed us to her huge audience that is bigger than our population by farrrr. If you can’t see the value here, I can’t help you. I recently heard that the BVI Tourist Board will be hosting content creators soon. Well what do you think they want to bring them here for???

They invited Certified Sampson from T&T. What for??? The answer- to do what Meg The Stallion did for free. Get with the program, this is news and it is a big deal for our tourism product.

Wish we could get some influencers for financial services too!

    • yes says:

His name is Klay Thompson, and he plays for the NBA team the Dallas Mavericks. He also played with the Golden State Warriors.

    • @ummm says:

“Megan Thee Stallion allegedly unfollowed Klay Thompson days after he bought her a $400K Bentley.

It’s also alleged that she’s done us!ng h!m, and they are now separa-ted.

It seems like Megan is showing the “Stalli0n” in her again.

      W0men, why❓”

      Here’s your news.

Is this your queen ladies? This the woman y’all defending cuz y’all just like her?

These small minded, self-centered old people in the comments are just vile for no reason. You don’t have to be a fan of her music to see that this is FREE advertising that can reach potential clientele that previously never heard of the VI.

I agree with you in part. I don’t think its old people per sae. In my view, like you said they are small minded and self centered.

These are people who live to be negative because they are mad at the world and other people’s accomplishment. In rap terms: Haters will hate. Meanwhile, their bank accounts are non-existant, overdrawn, or hardly have any money in it.

It takes a lot to hate on people you do not personally know.

The woman who encourages and role models to young women and girls to be dressing like a prostitute and shaking booty, smoking, chasing low standard/low value men who will beat and cheat hmmmm yea idc if she pass thru here.

just another bad influence on we youthss. we got enough of that..

shes just an unmarried soon to be single mom in the future. who wanna bet??? ladies come make yah bet plz i wanna win some free change

the facts and history shows that these types of females dont end up winning in the long run. money can’t buy true love, standards, morals, faithful partner, etc

anyways we got enough bad influence here as it is:
    drugs in the schools,

sex drugs given to kids (was in the news),

festivals promoting rum, smoking, dry humping, dressing like thugs, dress like prostitutes, fast life , party life etc.

thats why so many people was shocked at mali don night with all the female minors dressed with my cleavage and bottom out…. young boys smoking them brains out with them pants under them waist. and ofc the fights that occurs with women/men/boys/girls over gangs affiliations and infidelity drama (common drama amongst these types)

Lets do something more productive and promote morals, standards and safe sex education instead of giving trash like this attention

and for the women that wanna come at me for spitting facts… im sure if we check most of yall backgrounds you either a : party girl, night life person, smoker, kia soul driver, unmarried (it will settle in when yah reach 40 lol), single mother, anti police, dress with plenty skin out, tattoos etc

you know how much young females i see gone and get baby shower with no ring on them hand? then years later them and the baby daddy no longer together…..anyone with a logical thinking brain can predict that! especially when the red flags bright like sun smh do better people plz. we have too many broken homes already. look into the background of the youngest criminals and is broken home them from or daddy was criminal smh

Judgemental much? Raise your kids to your standards. If you do, you would not have to worry about them adopting the lifestyles of others.

On the other hand, be careful how you throw stones. People like you are in for a rude awakening of life as your own kids may dissapont you in life and not have much to do with you in later life because of your own judgmental ways.

      Live and learn.

She is a slack rapper who lied on another rapper who is currently sitting in prison serving a 10 year sentence because she said he shot her in the foot. When it was in fact her so-called friend who shot her. This is supported by security and other witnesses. The man in prison (Tory Lanez) has since been stabbed in prison over a dozen times almost losing his life. Meanwhile this harlot is living her best life and being acknowledged by the small minded people of the B.V.I Comment above calling her an empty vessel is accurate.
