USVI Police donate body armour, protective kits to RVIPF
In the continued fight against the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the United States Virgin Islands Police Department gifted the BVI’s local police department with protective kits and body armour.
The exchange was made between the two entities on Friday, May 1 and will be distributed between Her Majesty’s Customs, Immigration and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), a release from the Police Information Officer Akia Thomas stated.
The release indicated that the move was done as “a collaboration to continue the fight against any potential security threats emanating from the current COVID-19 crisis”.
Police Commissioner Michael Matthews extended his gratitude to the neighbouring territory for the gesture.
Notably, the US Virgin Islands has more than 66 positive COVID-19 cases and four reported deaths.
The BVI has recorded seven positive COVID-19 cases to date. One of those cases has resulted in death.

Shame Shame Shame. who are leading these departments need to go home.God knows what else they are doing to our officers.
All of you just shut up, like I’ve been saying all along, you got a Government that you justly deserved.

No we don’t need them here. Their track record worse than ours. If you don’t believe me check their local news. They have enough and you will be shock by what you read. By the way they also have other Caribbean nationals in the force.
