VG quartet arrested during robbery probe
Police said multiple arrests were made following recent investigations into a robbery on Virgin Gorda.
Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) arrested Bob George, 56, Bakembe George, 32, Gabriella Vidalis George, 29, and a 17-year-old male, all of Valley, Virgin Gorda as they executed a search warrant on a private premises on Virgin Gorda on Friday, January 19.
The arrests followed reports the RVIPF received of an armed robbery and the four were all charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
They were each granted bail in the sum of $10,000 and are now expected to appear at the Magistrate’s Court in March.
Police said investigations into the robbery are ongoing, and assured residents that they were actively pursuing all leads to bring perpetrators to justice.
“The commitment of the RVIPF to maintaining the safety and security of the community remains unwavering, and updates on the investigation will be provided as they become available,” the RVIPF said.
