Walwyn presses ministers for assistance in District 6

Myron Walwyn.

Sixth District Representative Myron Walwyn has been meeting with government ministers about some concerns of his constituents.

Earlier in the week, Walwyn said he met with Health Minister Vincent Wheatley to discuss issues he said were affecting residents in the Sixth District.

“We discussed the vexing issues of garbage disposal, removal of derelict vehicles, and housing assistance,” Walwyn said in a Facebook post.

Walwyn, who noted that he was keen on getting the district clean, visited the community the following day with Minister Wheatley to assess areas where garbage receptacles were located in the community.

The two lawmakers also visited some persons in the community who Walwyn said will need housing assistance from the Ministry of Health and Walwyn thanked Wheatley for his pledge of assistance to the residents over their long standing problems.

The Sixth District Representative also met with Communication and Works Minister Kye Rymer as well. “We discussed the many infrastructural issues and water woes facing District 6 and the territory,” Wawlyn shared.

According to Walwyn, he received an assurance from Rymer that the two will work together ‘to make life better for the people of District 6’.

After being sworn in on his return to the House of Assembly last month, Walwyn said he had already started to work on behalf of residents in the district in the areas of road infrastructure, water and sewerage, better waste disposal, and a number of important issues.

@breath of fresh air, yes fresh air literally in D6 but figuratively EVERYWHERE! It is so refreshing to wake up to words of action, wisdom and common sense spoken by Hon Walwyn. A true inspiration! When i read about the Premier, i always feel so heavy, burdened and depressed but Hon Walwyn, I feel light! I would like to see an article from Hon Walwyn EVERYDAY PLEASE? Twice a day would be EVEN BETTER! THANK YOU!

Hon Walwyn that’s how it is done. You hit the road running. I said to you about two years ago you should have formed your own party. When I look at the other leaders you are the man needed at this time to lead our people.

Thank you for reaching out on behalf of D6. But you reached out to two ministers that one can’t help and the other wouldn’t help. The volks wagon VW is an outdated model just like it’s name sake. If VW was in charge of VG he would run it to the ground. We see what he did to labor and we put him in charge now of the labor ward at the hospital. The poor guy wants to do well but don’t possess the ability.

Rhyme is a glorified minister who just like his boss became an accidental deputy premier. He doesn’t possess the smarts, we know someone is pushing him could be he has a decent and knowledgable PS.

Hon Walwyn without haste you should get the party members together and take back the chairmanship from useless 8 if the ndp is going to survive. We saw the glaring ineptness of #8 during the last elections. 4 years and couldn’t field a cricket team and two umpires and want to be captain. To be continued.

I say again I going move to District 6. People can talk all they want about Hon. Walwyn but from my vantage point the way he worked hard as minister of education I know he’s going to do his utmost for his district. It is going to be a blueprint for the rest. He is not afraid to make decisions and that is what I admire about him. District 6 residents whether you voted for him or not give him the support he needs. At least you all can see he started working from Day 1. The rest o we don’t know if we even have a rep! They gone sleep! Aryo give me a lodging down there!!

Hon Member for the 6th, I wish you well but my perceptions are that you are beating a dead horse. The leadership skills are woefully lacking. All I going tell you right now, don’t be a jack $$$ and use your own money. Rainy days are always behind coming.

That was a dumb statement. How does he know that i or you didnt vote for him?..well that’s kinda easy, you wear another party colour and show your support and love for that colour/party or person…or he knows because somethings are quite obvious duh.
