PRESS RELEASE: Following the passage of Hurricane Irma, Flow’s technicians have been working diligently throughout the islands to restore full coverage to customers. More communities are being reconnected on a daily basis.

Sister, and outer islands

All communities are now fully reconnected in Virgin Gorda. Connection has also been restored in outer islands such as Scrub Island, Great Camanoe, Little Camanoe, Guana Island.

Flow’s Country Manager, Colin Macdonald said: “We are pleased with the steady progress our teams are making to restore service across the BVI. Flow customers who may still be experiencing difficulty connecting to our network are asked to please come in to any of our offices on Tortola or Virgin Gorda for a FREE SIM card upgrade.”

Flow – the only full-service telecommunications provider in the BVI – suffered significant damage to its mobile and data equipment during the hurricane but was nevertheless able to maintain connectivity to large parts of the islands, particularly in Tortola, even during the height of the hurricane.

Flow remains focused on restoring its telecommunications infrastructure in the British Virgin Islands, and supporting the territory’s rebuilding efforts.
