Springette allegedly burglarizes 4 churches, school

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has named Walter Springette as a recurring perpetrator in the rampant burglaries plaguing the BVI.

The 32-year-old Sea Cows Bay resident is allegedly responsible for burglarising four churches and one school.

Springette was charged with illegally entering the St Paul’s Episcopal Church and its adjacent hall, the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, and also entering the Road Town Methodist Church Office twice … all within the last month,” police said.

Food items, cash, and a laptop were taken during these reported break-ins, police added.

Springette appeared before the Magistrate’s Court last Friday and was placed on remand.

He is scheduled for another court appearance on July 5.

Law enforcers said investigations are ongoing and additional burglary charges are likely.

Is there a reason that the media doesn’t post pictures of known thieves? I want to know what these people look like so I can be vigilant when they are in my surroundings. Pictures needed please! When people are arrested for drug possession pictures pop up but somehow known robbers get to keep their identity a secret…smh.
