13 restaurants to feature in this year’s Lobster Fest

The BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITBFC) has announced that the annual Anegada Lobster Festival will feature lobster samples and meals from 13 different restaurants.

Now in its 12th year, the festival will be celebrated under the theme “Lobster, Sun, and Anegada Fun.”

Participating restaurants will offer a $10 lobster sampler alongside their regular menus. Additionally, the first 600 attendees will receive one free sampler each during the event.

Scheduled for November 30 to December 1, the festival will kick off with the much-anticipated Family Fun Day on its opening day, hosted by the VI Recreation Trust. This year, a new competition for the best lobster sampler will also take place, judged by renowned Executive Chef Shane Huggins, who is the Chef Ambassador for Saint Martin’s Gastronomy Festival 2024. The winner will earn bragging rights for creating the top lobster dish.

Confirmed participating restaurants include new entry Flamingo Pride, along with established favorites such as Lil Bit, KG’s Café, Anegada Reef Hotel, Big Bamboo, Cow Wreck, Flash of Beauty, Lobster Trap, Wonky Dog, Pink Flamingo, Potter’s by the Sea, Sid’s at Pomato Point, and Tipsy.

Director of Tourism Clive McCoy expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “We are excited about the high level of participation from businesses on the island for this year’s Anegada Lobster Festival. We will continue to collaborate with industry partners and government agencies to ensure a seamless experience from arrival through to departure.”

McCoy also encouraged attendees to follow the BVITBFC’s social media pages for updates, including the upcoming release of the “flapbook,” which will provide a comprehensive guide to the festival, including maps, accommodations, transportation options, attractions, restaurant menus, and safety reminders.
