A $193,368.60 has been awarded to A.C. Construction Limited to construct the perimeter wall around the AO Shirley Recreational Grounds in Road Town.
Owner of the construction company Arthur Corion signed the contract last Friday, May 10.
A media release from the Recovery & Development Agency (RDA) said Corion was successful from a pool of three tenderers who submitted bids for the project.
“The contract was executed under the National Competitive Bidding process and awarded following a detailed evaluation of the technical and financial submissions,” the RDA explained.
It further said: “This is a Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture project which is being implemented with the support of the RDA and in partnership with the Recreation Committee.”
The project was jointly funded by the central government, the BVI Olympic Committee and the BVI Athletic Association.
