24-year-old charged in connection with West End drug bust

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has charged 24-year-old Olicity Lans of Hannah Estate in connection with the major drug incident at Fort Recovery, Tortola on Sunday, April 11.

Lans has been charged with: the importation of drugs, being concerned in the supply of drugs, and possession of a controlled drug.

He will appear in Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.

The joint operation Sunday afternoon led US and local authorities in pursuit of a go-fast boat which ultimately was beached in the area of Fort Recovery.

A significant quantity of suspected cocaine – with an estimated street value of $27 million – was recovered from the waters nearby.

    other explanations …

    2) COVID 19 make it hard on criminals.
    3) COVID 19 make it hard for people to make a living and drug dealing taking over tourism industry…

These drug dealing/drug smuggling thugs are often the killers as well. The drug trade is often the motive behind the murders . Give thanks whenever a criminal is captured.
