1. The pageant judges themselves had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what that Financial Services question meant. Contestant No. 1 DID NOT answer the question but responded with how to improve the agricultural sector to bring in money YET won Ms. Intellect.
2. The Platinum VIP on the stage looked so ghetto with crates of food on the table. Imagine the contestants walking on stage and seeing that mess!! The ticket holders had to regret buying those tickets to have a view of the contestants’ and hosts’ backs.
3. The Chairperson was so busy as a prior guest on a show saying she’d be at the door ready to turn people back for not dressing in black tie chic. This show was a mess and that’s what happens when focus is on the wrong thing.
4. It was good when the male co-host told the other co-host that all are VIP when she tried to correct him after referring to audiences seated on the top bleachers as VIPs.
5. The Chairperson trying to pacify the mishaps by saying God is in the midst yet had a half dress singer whining throwing back bottom in the air with the ratchetness but still expected ticket holders to dress classy. What a double standard!! As for the female cohost joking about polygamy and lust….where is the sanctity of marriage??!?!!
6. People need to stop spending money on these shows and fetes. Some are the same people who turn around and cry brokes.
7. kudos to those who did not get suckered into those ridiculous VIP tickets.
…and these are some of the reasons why I refuse to attend this show. This is no laughing matter. They ought to do better man!
Correct and true. I was soo ashamed to be a BV Islander after those answers. When I heard No. 2 (non answer/no response) I was so embarrassed. . Stood there like a fool for over 4 minutes before she started to answer. No offence No 2. But ladies please do not enter any competition if you know you are not apt to answer questions. Please…. Ah beg you….
As a matter of fact I vote for a moratorium on these shows until there is a proper vetting of all contestants. and by the way…I WANT MY MONEY BACK. … All the losers should be made to pay for wasting my precious 5 hours here on earth…
Just shut up! I am 100% sure you could not and still can’t answer the question. That question was inappropriate! Persons in the Financial Services Industry can’t answer, imagine not being in the industry and asked on the spot!
Not a Virgin Islander. She is the daughter of 2 Guyanese nationals. Why can’t the BVI pick someone that is actually from here?
Its a Guyanese thing that you might not understand, if you think I lie ask the minister of finance and minister of education.
People are so jealous of Guyanese. They need to get over themselves. We are amongst the smartest in the Caribbean. When beauty and brain are combined, there’s no stopping us.Guyana produces some of the smartest professionals including but not limited to teachers, doctors, nurses, etc. You all keep being jealous.
You sound soooo dumb and stupid. You meant to say Guyanese voodoo is the strongest in the Caribbean. It has nothing to do with beauty nor brains, because she’s not that cute and her inability to answer the question speaks volume
Guyanese are excellent and we don’t only have beauty we have brains too we are smart people can’t take that away
So smart but not smart enough to have an economy that could sustain yourpeople…they in every country working for pittance to survive and send back home e…Yet they gold oil Natural gifts in a vast country but they crawling all over Lil lildry weather Tolafor minimum wage existence and fulling up the prison. No shame at all.
The thighs and rearends on some of those updeislun contestant bigger than my cow.
Must be a comedy..not serious at all.
She had no competition. None! The other girls jokey. Princess girls did way better than them
What Monea think she at?
Why do these people allow her to present at this queen show?
Monea’s performance was distasteful. Wrong place
Once you have rights in bvi nothing wrong congratulations to miss bvi
@…..shut your dirty mouth. The young lady was born right here. Born raise when to school. Also, love talk who from here.
Intellect was not judged only on the night of the show, there was a pre-show interview segment with question/answer and the girls came into the main show with those scores. Surely No. 1 would’ve come in higher hence her win. The financial services question was a very dumb one as not even the judges knew the answer.
Yes I heard it’s also about the interview pre show but who cares. The point of a pageant is to prove to the public you’re ready to go away to represent us and the way she botched that question did not do that.
I fully endorse what Mess of a Show said regarding the Miss BVI pageant. To be honest I am one of those persons who really regret spending that kind of money for a VIP seat. The show was soooo disorganized. To begin with there were too many flaws including the late start. Then the absence of the ushers to seat you. And the madness continued with the vulgar performance of Monae and her dancers. I guess the Chairperson overlooked the fact that it was NOT the rise n shine tramp but a Queen show. And as far as the service was concerned to have refreshments in the VIP seating, this was a disaster. Then the question n answer segment where none of the seven contestants could intelligently answer the question posed was indeed embarrassing. And to add insult to injury, the double standard that was demonstrated by the female MC with contestant #2 is questionable. I think that the Chairperson of this committee owes an apology to the attendees at this show and in conclusion, she needs to resign.
@truth be told. I sa I’d the something. Monea was vulgarr. That’s profomance is for the streets.
The Queen didn’t answer the question, she talked about fisheries and agriculture, tell me what that have to do with financial services…..that is telling us the judges themselves didn’t know the answer….there should of been Local judges also because they have a better knowledge of BVI Culture.
I want to send a shout out to CCT. Thank you for allowing me to see the entire show from home for free. I enjoyed the multiple angles and not having to spend money for tickets, hairdo, clothes and food. My food at home was great!! I was able to feel relaxed and when finished simply close my eyes and not go out into the rain. You guys are the best, see you next year……
Right. Thank you to CCT this camera quality was good and all .
My choice from the introduction of the contestants at prince and princess show. Congratulations to her!
Once none of these women are not hanging around low quality, low life men of poor morals or men involved in questionable activities (infamous in our BVI sadly) then I support!
If they are involved with them then they can kick rocks
If we support and encourage the low life then there will be more encouragement to do it
Sound like you know something the rest of us don’t
That questioned was too technical and should have been phrased differently. I heard most of the ladies in other interviews and they are articulate. They should be expected to have some general knowledge of they main economic pillars. At the same time if there are key
information they must know as ambassadors the committee should give them a crash course.
They had a list of 100+ questions before the show to prepare and still didn’t. Shameful
She’s a good singer, sounds much better in a higher range than a lower one. Her high notes were beautiful but she couldn’t sustain the lower notes and you can see that some of them were painful for her. Could do with more vocal training. Amazing body and good looking, not gorgeous but she doesn’t need to be. Could really do with more media training, telling the hosts you just want to “get it over with” when they asked how you were during Q&A is really tacky. As an aspiring corporate lawyer you also should have been able to answer that question but the question was hard so that’s okay. Her team did a good job with her outfits and costumes. Her evening gown was beautiful but it wasn’t the best and the mesh didn’t match her skin colour. She’ll do well abroad but she still needs more work. Kudos to her.
