Anthony re-appointed head of Immigration board

Michael Anthony has been re-appointed Chairman of the Board of Immigration, which has seven other appointees who were announced this week.

The clergyman has been serving as Chairman for several years, spanning both the National Democratic Party and Virgin Islands Party administrations.

His re-appointment, as well as appointment of the other seven Board members, will run for two years, starting May 1, 2017.

The other appointees are Charles Mercer, Rosalia Gardener, Dr Benedicta P T Samuels, Delma Maduro, Dwyane Thomas, Rupertha Ephraim, and Bevin George.

Acting Governor Rosalie Adams this month made the appointments, acting on advice from the minister responsible for Immigration Dr D Orlando Smith, who also is premier of the territory.
