Body of missing woman found!
The woman who went missing following a boating accident near West End on Sunday has been found.
Police confirmed moments ago her that her body was found “close to where the boat sank between Little Thatch and Frenchman’s Cay”.
This is the second confirmed causality from the accident. The first is a six-year-old child.
Meanwhile, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said it is still investigating the circumstances that led to the boat capsizing.
Initial police investigations indicate that while crossing the waters between Jost Van Dyke and West End around 7 pm Sunday night, the vessel in question overturned near Little Thatch causing all 10 of its occupants to be thrown overboard.
“Of the 10 occupants onboard, seven were taken to the Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital. One of the seven, a six-year-old female, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Five are still being treated [and] one was discharged. A search party to include Marine Police, Virgin Islands Search and Rescue, and local mariners began immediately looking for the missing female. The U.S. Coast Guard and St. John Rescue also joined the search at sunrise this morning to the east and west of the site. Thus far, there has been no sighting of the missing female,” the RVIPF reported.

to the families of both her and the 6 yo who passed earlier. What a tragedy. May the Almighty give you comfort in these difficult times. I trust that those who remain in the hospital makes a full recovery.
I believe that angels walk amongst us in the physical form. I wholeheartedly do. Krystal was one of them. So this one hurts ? Father GOD if ever a time we need you is NOW. I was privy to watch Krystal when she was a young girl and she was always so sweet. She was an avid little chef and was a natural nurturer- always doing something to better someone else. Never in this lifetime did I think that this would be how her life ended and so soon. She’s definitely gone too soon. In light of the circumstances, I’m comforted in knowing that the same love and support she was shown from her village growing up, was the same as they were standing 10 toes down for her in the end. I want her family to know that we lost a GOOD ONE… plain and simple. She was one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known to walk the face of the earth. She was wise beyond her years as a little girl. I was always in awe of her charm and charisma and her natural beauty. To know that I won’t be able to see her again or have a conversation is unreal. But I’m praying for Mommy Kay- you were always a warrior and I’m praying that in this time, your darkest moment, trust GOD. Daddy John, we can never be prepared for anything like this but know that GOD will continue to sustain you. To her siblings, fiancé and her adorable son… she was loved and you all are too and the community will continue to support you as you navigate this new reality. God is in the Midst of the Storm. Oh Krissy, sweet girl I’ll never forget you and I’ll love you forever lil sis. Prayers up for the Black & Barronville families. The BVI lost another one of it’s gems.
Sending my sincere condolences to the family, friends and everyone that was affected by the tragedy that occurred this past Weekend.

It’s horrible accident brings too light the dangers of irresponsible boating.
Good news..now throw the captain in jail.
I noticed that when it comes to private boats between BVI and VI that the captain who operates these boats goes a lil too fast at times. So sad for the families that were involved. Hoping that this event will set a example that to be a lil more mindful of how operating these boats in terms to being safe and not just for the sport of it.

The choices are:
1) Night time sea speed limit of 10 knots from sunset to sunrise.
2) Sea curfew from 6pm to 6am daily.
3) Do nothing
Guess which will happen in the BVI?
Jail was immediately
warranted with the first passenger’s death….the deceased’s 6 year old son.
However the identity of the boat operator has not been publicly released nor any action taken against him .Not even a statement. Bvi protects its criminals. Hea and his fast boat must have some damaging and comprehensive knowledge of the transport of the infamous white cargo and the participants.
8 passengers or 10??
Please do not call these rookie maniac boat drivers ” Captains ” . They have no skill , knowledge or respect for the sea.
Why are we so negative in this place. Two incident people lost their lives. Families are in disarray. Let’s just pray that all parties involved can get through this ordeal.
Why are we hitting below the belt. It sounds like it was an accident.
We all are out here speculating but let’s not be judgmental.
Let’s think about it, this sounded like a trip with family and friends. If infants and parents were onboard and we are speculating without facts that the captain was speeding as a parent with an infant onboard wouldn’t you ask the captain to slow down?
Come on lets all just stop and think before we put negative thoughts out here.
I pray everyone involved are able to get through this. It is really traumatic even for us on the outside looking in.
