Charitable arm of Flow donates computers to Unite BVI and YEP

The Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation (CWCF) has donated just over two dozen desktop computers and laptops to Unite BVI and the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP).

On Wednesday, July 24, CWCF donated a total of 15 iMac desktops and 10 Lenovo laptops to the two local non-profit organisations at a handover ceremony held at Palestina Estate.

“At Flow, we firmly believe that access to modern technology is a cornerstone of education and personal development. In today’s digital age, having the right tools can open doors to endless possibilities, fostering creativity, innovation, and learning,” said Bernice Magloire-Williams, Business to Business Sales Manager at Flow.

“By providing these iMac desktops and Lenovo laptops, through the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation, we aim to equip the young minds of the Youth Empowerment Project with the resources they need to excel in their academic and personal pursuits,” she added.

The devices were handed over by CWCF representative Dominic Boon, who expressed his admiration for the children at YEP and the various things they learned at the institute.

During Boon’s first visit to the territory some time last year, he donated proceeds from a swim challenge towards these devices for youth in the territory to use. He swam between the BVI and US Virgin Islands.

Throughout that visit, he met with different stakeholders from YEP and Unite BVI, and toured the YEP facility where he learned more about its work.
