Contraband recovered at HMP after attempted smuggling incident
Contraband was recovered from His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) this week after prison officers spotted an active smuggling attempt.
Sources informed BVI News that an individual outside the facility was seen throwing packages over the prison fence while wearing a ski mask to conceal their identity.
Prison officers immediately alerted other staff on-site and conducted a search, discovering a package containing a cell phone and marijuana.
Further searches of the facility yielded additional contraband items.
The incident has been reported to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) for investigation.
