CSC no longer supports VIP because ‘gravy train’ is over — Premier
In declaring it was a mistake for him to support the three lucrative public contracts awarded to Claude Skelton Cline between 2019 and 2021, Premier Dr Natalio has seemingly taken a sudden antagonistic approach to the former government consultant.
While speaking in the House of Assembly (HOA) this week, Dr Wheatley indicated that Skelton Cline has a “pattern” of hopping from party to party based on which political organisation would benefit him financially.
The Premier further offered his beliefs as to why Skelton Cline has been endorsing a female Premier in recent times.
“I believe his biggest motivation for saying a woman will be elected [as Premier] is because I’m a man. And it has become very clear that Claude Skelton Cline does not support me in my political endeavours and he doesn’t support the Virgin Islands Party, which I lead. And I’ll just give you my theory as to why that is,” Dr Wheatley stated.
“First, he was talking about ‘woman’, then he started talking about his uncle Ronnie [Skelton], and I wonder if the public understands what’s taking place. First, he started with the Virgin Islands Party, then he went to the National Democratic Party, then he went back to the Virgin Islands Party. And the current leader of the Virgin Islands Party doesn’t seem like I’m going to get through with him. It seems like the ‘gravy train’ might be over there — [so] let’s jump on to the next host. So, you just might see him on a platform somewhere… getting ready for the next payday,” Dr Wheatley said of Skelton Cline.
The Premier’s statements follow the release of the Auditor General’s damning report on the examination of the three public contracts issued to Skelton Cline under the Virgin Islands Party administration.
Auditor General Sonia Webster said in her report that the government — led at the time by the now disgraced former premier, Andrew Fahie — failed to receive value for money on any of the Skelton Cline contracts, whose combined value is a little more than $365,000.
The Auditor General said the primary purpose of the consultancy services Skelton Cline provided to the government over the period in question “was not to add value to the government but rather to provide employment for the consultant (Skelton Cline)”.
“The audit confirmation exercises performed indicate that much of the work reported or claimed by the consultant was undertaken by persons and programmes independent of the consultancy. In a number of cases, his association with the programmes was either fleeting or non-existent. The information in the consultant’s periodic reports was largely duplicated without demonstrating any advancement or effort to achieve progress. As a result, very little was gained from this arrangement and the government failed to receive value for money on these contracts,” Webster wrote in her report.

I think all the relevant players need to learn and be singing that hip-hop classic, these h0£s ain’t loyal, welsa
I can not see or even imagine CSC being on any platform. This person ys tainted, he is damaged goods, an expired commodity. An political leader or candidate with a ridicule of common sense would disassociate themselves from this individual. Don’t even believe his uncle would accommodate him. From henceforth he shall be known and regarded as a political leper.
About gravy train. Shouldn’t have been a gravy train to start with but you endorsed it. Now it make sense though. A certain someone in power has no respect for women that’s why skellieklyne started talking about woman for next leader. Got it.
How is the Premier taking this angle. 365,000 thousands yes, should not be misused, but you then in the same breath, defend the government spending 2 pluss Million on barges that werent needed, and 700K to to the company even after, they barges weren’t in use. This is politial corruption.
Rubbish!! I thought there was no more party just the unity party. What makes him so sure that he’s leading that VIP slow-wande best go sid-down way ova dey!!!
More relevant would be for the present Premier to explain to the tax payers why in his own political position of power at the time he choose to turn a blind eye and sign off on the cash not just once but three different times ! Is it right that the same politicians who approved these contracts get to decide if there should be consequences for all involved including themselves ? Oops is when you make a mistake once but do it three times….
Teeth and tongue fall out…lol
Everyone trying to hang the head coach and VIP’s ills around Sowande’s neck would have to hang NDP’s past around Marlon’s neck (including individuals being formally charged). Mitch and Ronnie cannot escape either as they were part of the last ruling NDP Government so the rules should apply to all. If you look across the board they all were apart of governments that made mistakes so let’s not act like only the VIP are to be blamed here.
That is one of the best thing I have heard coming from the premier well said sir
This Premier is such a fool. So here he is admitting that there was in fact a gravy train over which him and head coach presided to the benefit of Claude Cline and others. Tongue and teeth fall out now. All do them ain’t no good!
The Premier is over his head. This thin skin stuff is just embarrassing.
We need an election!
” leaper” party to party
Looks like Natalio has been locked away and the real Sowande is on the loose!! He was Honestly Speaking when he uttered those words I would add.. :-))
CSC if i was you i would keep my mouth shut because everyone is getting to realize and to know who you really is and what you stand for.
He complained that the Auditor General did not interview the persons who rented the barges at the outrageous daily sum in her damning report on that contract. There is no mention of whether the Auditor General interviewed CSC in her report on his contracts. Which is it? Is she required to interview the contractors or is she reviewing the contracts? Two different things I think.
And his job was to big up Head Coach and the VIP…
CSC you represent confusion and corruption.
Well , if I may add , he already said that that he is going leave it up to ( GOD ) so he already took it to
the lord in PRAYER •*honestly yapping *
I wont be voting for any goons who were in the house when these contracts were approved, mistake? What happens now how about breach of trust, fraud, misuse of public funds. Time and time ago no value for huge hand outs and never any consequences
When dude was on ayo side getting pay to do nothing but hype your every move and bad talk your opponents yall stay quiet knowing that it wasn’t right… Now you come talking bad about the man talking about gravy train dry up… all ayo is some two faced opportunists. Pot calling kettle black.
VIP cabinet for the last 3 and a half years was “ yea”
The ?have it . Where were the rest of the team
We haven’t heard Dr Smith neither Marlon calling down the Almighty and in the same breath calling in obeah man from Sengal
Nor did Dr Smith nor Marlon ever had handcuffs for embezzlement
Plane was investigated
Wall was investigated
Webester report never said . Undeliverables
Integrity has gone to the dogs
The Premier knows he is not getting in, he also knows that to get his loyal core support through thick and thin he needs to attack and support certain factions, when the UK takes over say mid June then you will see why
So you made a mistake three times in a row to the tune of $365 Thousand Dollars of taxpyers money! Knowing the government did not get value for money each time and you want people to vote for you again! Lord send help!! Not to mention all the other mistakes you made.
Well he is going to hang his mouth by Uncle Ronnie and cousin Mitch in the Skelton/Cline Party. He will start to get fat again.
Weighing Errors or Mistakes
The first time is a mistake
The second time is you did not understand
The third time is willfulness or you did
not take heed
The fourth time is rebellion and disregard
The Fifth time is a reprobate mind
The Sixth time is due for punishment
The Seventh time is the Wrath of God
Not Ready???????
No one ready. There is no one available that anyone can vote for
What now??
tell him to go re run for district 2 like he did some years ago.
Thank God for The former Governor Gus Jasper and the COI! Lot of this would still be hidden.
S**w One, you approved all the contracts.
Even when nothing was produced under the first contract , you approved the second, then the third.
You are as guilty as Claud.
