Education Ministry responds to new molestation allegations
The Education Ministry has issued a response to a second wave of molestation allegations, this time involving another teacher at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS).
These new claims come just weeks after similar accusations rocked the institution, sparking concern among parents and the wider community. In a statement released yesterday, October 10, the ministry expressed its commitment to ensuring the safety of students and staff.
“We want to emphasise our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and integrity in our schools,” the ministry said.
It also confirmed that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and the Social Development Department are investigating the matter.
The ministry further noted that they have “implemented immediate and appropriate measures to ensure that the school environment remains safe.” However, no specific details were provided about these safety measures.
The Ministry has appealed for patience during this period, explaining that they cannot provide additional details as the investigation is ongoing.
This marks the second set of allegations to surface within a few weeks, with the first set emerging in mid-September. Although the details surrounding both incidents remain largely undisclosed, sources indicated that the earlier allegations involved a Physical Education teacher at ESHS and related to inappropriate conduct towards a male student.
The Ministry had previously described the initial claims as “serious” but refrained from releasing specifics, citing the situation’s sensitivity.
With the situation under investigation and tensions running high among parents, the Ministry has reassured the public that it is working with relevant authorities to address the claims thoroughly and fairly.

Any adult that is messing with you, knowing you are under 18, report them today. You are not the only one they are messing with. As long as they are saying, don’t tell anyone, TELL SOMEONE! Your body is the temple of the Lord. Do not let these imbeciles target your heart. They will hurt you and ruin that part of your life. Wait until the time is right and stop allowing these evil people to force you into the things that you know are not right.
